It can be hard to find fresh ingredients in the colder seasons but don’t let that stop you from maintaining a balanced, healthy diet! There are plenty of great, nutrient rich powders extracted from some of the best superfoods you can find. Combine these with your regular fruit and veg and make the best smoothie to boost your immune system, keep you energized, glowing and stress free throughout the winter season! The recipe below is packed with antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, healthy fats (omega-3s, omega-6s, MCTs), vitamins A, B(B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9), C, E, K… A great way to keep your body in balance, immune system in check and brain functioning at it’s peak abilities.
2 Tablespoons of: (optional)
1. Wash your ingredients.
2. Peel the lemon, kiwi, mango.
3. Chop the fruit and veg into chunks and remove any seeds.
4. Chuck half of them into your blender.
5. Add in the powders and the seeds/berries.
6. Throw in the rest of your fruit and veg into the blender.
7. Add the XCT oil and water.
8. Mix until the consistency looks smooth.
9. When the shake looks nice and creamy, detach from the blender and pour out as desired.
And there you have yourself the best smoothie to boost your immune system!
Perfect as a light, healthy breakfast for the family. Little smoothie bottles you can keep in your fridge and drink at your convenience. Or just pour into a large juice container and keep with you as something to sip on throughout the day or at the gym!
Or go crazy and add even more nuts, seeds, granola, raw cacao nibs or any extra fruit you might like and turn it into a delicious smoothie bowl!
